Summary

As the Product Specialist, you will provide technical information and training to our customers.  While most often this is achieved via traditional means (correspondence, calls, and occasional on-site visits), our customers are looking for a team that can deliver technical information with speed and excellence.  Outside of our peak harvest times, our product technical team to increase the knowledge of Brock products by harnessing new training methods and technologies.

Specific Responsibilities

  • You will provide in-depth technical support on product performance, troubleshooting guidance and repair advice via telephone or in person (as needed for higher escalation of issues) for our dealers and end users of our products.
  • You will accurately document all aspects of the support call into the CRM/ERP systems to ensure complete documentation of product performance.
  • You will develop and provide technical product training on the proper troubleshooting, diagnostics, installation, repair and maintenance of our products via phone, WebEx, or in person for our dealers and customers.
  • You will ensure that product training materials are made available for our dealers and customers via our training portal.
  • You will actively participate in activities to improve processes and provide detailed, comprehensive reports on product performance, field concerns and dealer interaction.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related field, or a combination of education (Associates) and work experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues (gear boxes, electric motors, basic schematics)
  • Excellent communication skills to troubleshoot field issues over the phone and on-site as needed
  • Excellent customer service with the ability to diffuse difficult customer issues quickly and a desire to exceed customer expectations
  • Intermediate PC skills, analytical and detailed oriented, with the ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic blueprints, schematics and manuals
  • 1-2 years of “hands on” experience in providing technical support via telephone or in person on agricultural equipment or other similar fields.  Will consider new graduates with experience in agriculture, building/construction, dealerships, mechanical repair, or manufacturing.

Salary:  Salary is commensurate with proven expertise. 

 

The position is eligible for bonus & profit sharing.    And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

 

Reports To: Product Technical Group Manager                         

 

Core Office Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 7:00 pm (9 hour days, hours could be staggered to meet the needs of our customers)

 

Travel:   Approximately up to 15% (US Travel)
