What You’ll Do:


As the Manufacturing Records / Inventory Control Specialist, you will plan, analyze, coordinate, and execute on engineering and inventory activities to meet the goals of the area

Specific Responsibilities

Your Accountabilities in the Role:


  • You will perform data entry and maintain the receiving records in the system to ensure accuracy of data and inventory.
  • You will coordinate and perform cycle counting as well as lead the annual physical inventory event to ensure accurate counts in the system to meet production needs. You will also analyze the data to understand root cause issues and create solutions to control inventory variances.   
  • You will coordinate the Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes to ensure administrative functions are handled effectively and to keep projects moving.
  • You will create Bill of Materials/Product Structures for new products in the system and will ensure accurate costing and part usage in the process. This will involve interaction/collaboration from Engineering, Production, and other support areas.     
  • Will coordinate and gather data to reach conclusions as needed for capital expenditures and provide information to the executive team.


Position Requirements:


  • Education: Associates degree in business, operations, supply chain or other relevant field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience: 2+ years of operations, supply chain, or inventory control experience. Should have a familiarity of operations, warehouse and inventory control, and how material flows.
  • Functional Skills: Good analytical and math skills; ability to data mine and extract pertinent data to make good decisions. 
  • Technology Skills: ERP functionality and system file structure relationship experience is required. Familiarity with ReportWriter is preferred, with advanced PC and Excel skills to create pivot tables and V-look ups as required.  
  • Other Behaviors: Self-motivated and able to prioritize activities and projects efficiently and effectively. Can manage multiple projects and tasks effectively; involves high volume and repetitive work.   Excellent communication (oral/written) and networking skills to meet the goals of the positon (oral/written).   
  • Culture Match: Need conceptual thinkers who can take a vision and create better processes/solutions. Enjoys collaboration and leading/participating in continuous improvement processes.


Other Important Information:     


Position Status & SalaryNonexempt  position; Salary is commensurate with proven expertise. 


This position is eligble for bonus & profit sharing!  And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!


Reports To:  Planning & Scheduling Manager                                                                                                         


Core Hours:   7 am – 6 pm (schedule can be flexible; will work approx. 8 hours within this timeframe)


Typical Work Week:  M-F; some weekends [& OT] required (when applicable); 45 hours a week on average


Direct Reports:     None


Travel:   Limited; may travel to sister companies or visit vendors; infrequently; approximately 5% or less
