What You’ll Do:

 

As the Sales Manager for Asia, you will develop, execute, and manage the sales, marketing, and distribution strategies for the Asian markets to meet or exceed sales goals for the area.    

Specific Responsibilities

You’re Accountabilities in the Role:

  • You will develop, execute and manage the sales, marketing, and distribution strategies for the Asian markets to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • You will lead and guide the sales performance of regional sales managers against key metrics, by co-traveling and providing “hands on” lead by example mentoring.
  • You will work with the Marketing, Engineering, and Sales areas to provide product and sales requirements for new product development as it relates to the market and local trends.
  • You will lead and manage the local Technical Service team to ensure prompt and effective customer support with product installations, support, and other customer inquiries.
  • You will visit and network with distributors, end-user customers, networking partners, and other integrators in the market to assess current product performance, competitive landscape, new market conditions, develop new product needs, requirements, and sales strategies for the future.
  • You will Identify, recruit and develop new distributors to expand the Asian market and increase sales.

Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or related field required.
  • Experience: 7+ years of Leadership and Sales management experience is required, within a distribution channel and Agriculture environment preferred. Prior experience working for a US headquartered organization is also a plus.
  • Functional Skills:  Proven ability in developing sales, branding, and marketing plans; excellent planning and organizing skills; strength in setting goals and key metrics to measure success.  Also requires a strong ability to analyze data, problem solve, and create solutions. 
  • Technology Skills: Strong PC, Microsoft Office Skills 
  • Language Skills: English is the common language; Ability to read, write and speak an Asian language is a plus.
  • Leadership/Behaviors: Requires excellent servant leadership skills to coach, mentor and develop team members in a way that builds and engages their skill sets, especially with remote team members. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, networking skills, and strong presentation skills are required.  
  • Culture Match: A servant leader, able to navigate conservative traditional countries; a balanced, even-keeled personality that can guide and collaborate with a team, networking to generate revenue.

 

Other Important Information:     

 

Position Salary: Salaried Position; Salary is commensurate with proven expertise.   

 

Reports To:       VP/General Manager of Chore-Time  

 

Direct Reports:   3 - Sales Professionals in Thailand; 1 - Technical Service Manager in Philippines   

 

Travel:   Approximately 50% or less
