Specific Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

 

As the Production Manager, you will ensure Operations meets the goals of the Company within the areas of:  Quality, On-time Delivery, High Efficiency, Production Readiness, Safety, Cleanliness, and Team Engagement.      

 

Your Accountabilities in the Role:

 

  • You will research, develop, and lead the Operation activities as well as related teams to ensure quality, efficiency, resource utilization, and effectiveness.
  • You will ensure safe working conditions for all employees.
  • You will participate in the long-range capacity planning regarding equipment, technology, and personnel.
  • You will lead continuous improvement projects in a manner that delivers the best results on-time and on-budget.
  • You will lead and have responsibility for budget development and expense control in respective areas.
  • You will keep updated with technological changes and advances in all related areas and implement those that will provide enhanced customer value and profitability.

Requirements

Position Requirements:

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations, or other related field; or a combination of coursework and experience
  • Experience: 3-5+ years of progressive Production Management experience required
  • Functional Skills: Strong experience managing diverse departments; business & budget planning experience; math skills; ability to prioritize and organize; foundational understanding of ISO/Quality Systems, Safety, Lean thinking, and 5S preferred
  • Technology Skills: Advanced Excel experience; intermediate in Word and PowerPoint; experience with ERP systems would be helpful
  • Leadership/Behaviors: Excellent presentation, business writing, and communication skills; strong collaboration and influencing skills to effectively implement change; strong work ethic – leading by example; forward thinking; able to effectively problem-solve and make solid decisions; conceptual thinker who can continually make enhancements to overall operations
  • Culture Match: Fair, firm, respectful, and steady personality who handles situations with optimism yet holds people accountable; good listener who can be flexible and invoke great ideas to make best decisions

 

Other Important Information:     

 

Salary:  Salary is commensurate with proven expertise. 

 

This position is eligble for profit sharing!  And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

 

Reports To:     General Manager                                                                                                                                             

 

Core Hours:   7:00 am – 4:00 pm (schedule can be somewhat flexible; will work approx. 8.5 hours within this timeframe) – helping with other shifts as needed with Team Leads

 

Typical Work Week:  M-F; some weekends required (when applicable); Approximately 45 hours a week on average

 

Direct Reports:     Production Team Leaders, Quality, Inventory Control (Shipping), and Scheduling

 

Travel:   Limited
