    Specific Responsibilities

    What You’ll Do:

     

    As the Transportation Coordinator, you will ensure prompt, accurate, and error-free information to move product to internal customers, utilizing internal and external drivers.   

     

    Your Accountabilities in the Role:

     

    • You will coordinate inbound and outbound loads between divisions, using internal drivers and external drivers
    • You will review the bill of ladings and other documents for the freight area, along with the cost of shipments, to ensure accuracy.
    • You will prepare, review and maintain accurate records, DOT government filings, and other data as it relates to the position, to ensure quality record retention.
    • You will prepare the reporting for the DOT government filings.
    • You will be the backup for the Receptionist for the main CTB switchboard, transferring over to the area a portion of time weekly.

    Requirements

    Position Requirements:

     

    • Education: High School Diploma or GED o preferred, or equivalent course work and direct work experience accepted
    • Experience: 2+ Years of clerical and shipping experience, with knowledge of LTL trucking system processes would be helpful; would train the right person            
    • Functional Skills: High attention to detail and accuracy, with a strong sense of urgency required; strong ability to problem-solving, good math skills, and a solid ability to prioritize, organize and complete work on time.  Also requires an excellent ability to multi-task, with a natural ability to be flexible as work demands require
    • Technical Aptitude/PC/Other: Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office required
    • Language Skills: Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to work with external vendors, internal partners, at all various levels
    • Leadership/Behaviors: Able to work in a team-environment with collaboration to ensure accountabilities for the group are met.

     

    Other Important Information:     

     

    Salary:  Salary is commensurate with proven expertise. 

     

    This position is eligible for bonus & profit sharing!  And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

     

    Reports To:     Transportation Manager                                                                                                                   

     

    Core Hours:   7:00 am – 3:30 pm (fixed schedule)

     

    Typical Work Week:  M-F; some overtime during the week as required; 40 hours a week on average (with some fluctuating overtime)

     

    Direct Reports:     None

     

    Travel:   Limited
