    Specific Responsibilities

    What You’ll Do:

     

    As the Transportation Driver, you will plan, organize, and move high-dollar valued product in an efficient and safe manner between CTB facilities.

     

    Your Accountabilities in the Role:

     

    • You will plan, organize, and move high-dollar valued product in an efficient and safe manner between CTB facilities.
    • You will properly move, connect to trailers, and operate the trailer in a safe way.
    • You will weigh trailers to ensure weight limits are being followed.
    • You will manage the trailer pad area where the semi-trailers are parked to ensure space is optimized and product is in the right place.
    • You will monitor and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle to the maintenance team for proactive attention to ensure minimal downtime on trucks, trailers, and equipment.

    Requirements

    Position Requirements:

     

    • Education: High School Diploma or GED o preferred, or equivalent course work and direct work experience accepted
    • Experience: 2+ Years of prior Truck driving experience with a safe driving record.
    • Certifications: CDL Class A License with a good driving record (0-1 traffic tickets within a 3-year period). Forklift license experience would be a plus; will train the right person.
    • Functional Skills: Excellent physical ability and strong safety awareness in moving large loads around various spaces, strong organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills; good problem-solving ability to ensure loads are completed efficiently.
    • Language Skills: Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines, using a calm demeanor.
    • Leadership/Behaviors: Able to work in a team-environment with collaboration to ensure accountabilities for the group are met.

     

    Other Important Information:     

     

    Salary:  Salary is commensurate with proven expertise. 

     

    And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

     

    Reports To:     Transportation Manager                                                                                                                   

     

    Core Hours:   7:00 am – 3:30 pm (fixed schedule)

     

    Typical Work Week:  M-F; some Saturdays and overtime required; 40-50 hours a week on average

     

    Direct Reports:     None

     

    Travel:   Typically, around the CTB site locations and Milford area

     

    Work Conditions: Working in outside conditions, using PPE equipment, and around greasy/dirty areas; lifting up to 50 lbs, required
