    This role is located in the area of SD, NE, or KS regions.  The region covered by this position is primarily focused in South Dakota, Nebraska, and Kansas, with other business located in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado.   The reporting business office is located in Des Moines, IA.

    What You’ll Do:


    As the District Sales Manager, you will develop strategies and execute plans to grow sales through distribution channels and key accounts within your region, meeting annual business goals.

    Specific Responsibilities

    • You will develop strategies and execute for sales growth with dealers and key accounts within your region, focused on organizational KPI’s and profit goals.
    • You will develop the distribution channel and sales growth through market analysis, recruitment of new dealers, influence and growth of current dealers and execute changes in these areas, where appropriate.
    • You will maintain ongoing relationships as a true business partner, with key accounts, to build trust and develop long term relationships.
    • You will participate in sales and marketing events and/or meetings to continuously enhance and grow your network and market share.
    • You will collaborate and communicate with the operations and corporate team to provide ongoing feedback on market trends and new product opportunities.


    • Education: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or Business preferred, or the equivalent education and experience
    • Experience: 3 + years of Territory Sales management experience working in a dealer or distribution channel environment required within the Agricultural Structural or Agricultural large equipment industries, Construction industry, or Structural or Building manufacturing industries
    • Certifications: N/A
    • Functional Skills: Strong consultative, value-based selling process in calling on distributors and dealers, which includes a process to qualify prospects, perform a needs analysis, create large business proposals, and close the sale; strong analytical and solution skill base. Excellent project management skills with the ability to support the customer through technical aspects of the project details and applications within a longer sales/project cycle is also required. 
    • Technical Aptitude/Skills: Strong technical or mechanical background; understanding of grain handling and storage systems preferred. Solid PC, Excel, and Word Skills are also required.
    • Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work with all levels both internally and externally to build relationships and grow the business.  
    • Culture Fit: Leadership through Innovation mentality, demonstrates a “Jump In and Learn” attitude, Goal oriented, Relational, Collaborative, and Ability to Learn and Present a high-value proposition to Clients, Highly Organized, Self-driven, and Excellent Time-management skills are also required.


    Other Important Information:     


    Salary:  Salary is commensurate with proven expertise. 


    This position is eligible for bonus & profit sharing!  And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!


    Reports To:     Director of Sales, US & CND


    Typical Work Week:  M-F; some weekends as required; 50+ hours a week on average


    Direct Reports:     None


    Travel:   Approximately 40% overnight travel to start to build and develop relationships; then approximately 30% overnight travel.
