    Specific Responsibilities

    As the Shipping Lead, you will lead, train, and process the shipping of raw material and finished parts in a high-quality way, meeting the daily scheduling and customer needs.  


    Your Accountabilities in the Role:

    • You will lead and train employees in the Shipping area to make sure shipments are completed accurately and the schedule and customer needs are met.
    • You will identify parts, pack, and prepare for shipping based on bill of materials, ensuring accurate quality parts are selected, and meet the quantities indicated.
    • You will load parts onto semi-trucks on a continually basis in a high-quality and safe way.
    • You will complete paperwork once order is complete, and enter data into the system for accurate inventory management.


    Position Requirements: 

    • Education: High School Diploma or the equivalent is required for this position.
    • Experience: 3+ years of experience working independently to meet shipping schedules, using forklifts on large parts (lifting 40 ft material that weighs 1000’s of lbs.). Will be moving product that is outside for the structural pieces; along with some hardware that is inside.   Some leadership skills would be helpful, yet will train the right person.    
    • Functional Skills: Excellent skills in reading, comprehension, picking, counting, processing, and completing orders and paperwork accurately.  Excellent fork lift skills and overhead crane experience in loading semi-trucks are also required to meet the large products moved in this position.   High attention to safety is also required.   
    • Technological Aptitude/Other: Experience with data entry into ERP systems and basic excel skills required.   
    • Language Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills are also needed for this role.
    • Leaderhip/Behaviors:  Will possess excellent initiative, work ethic, and the ability to work well with others.   This position will also need a lot of patience and customer-focus to work well with truck drivers. 
    • Culture Match: The right person will be able to work well with a diverse group and can easily get along with others is a huge plus for this role.

    Other Important Information:     


    Salary:  Salary is commensurate with proven expertise. 


    The compensation will grow as the team member grows!


    Reports To:  Shipping Supervisor


    Core Hours:   6:00 am – 4:30 pm


    Typical Work Week:  M-F; with some overtime and Saturdays.  Most Saturdays are required during Summer months.
