    Specific Responsibilities

    What You’ll Do:

     

    As the Financial Reporting Manager, you will manage the Financial reporting and consolidation processes. You will review, analyze, and interpret financial information and ensure accurate, timely, and complete summations of financial data for the business.

     

    Your Accountabilities in the Role:

    • You will manage the preparation and consolidation of financial statements and disclosures to ensure complete, timely, and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to management and our parent Company under US GAAP principles.
    • You will manage the data gathering process for annual strategic planning, ensuring data is compiled, consolidated and analyzed to support the planning process.
    • You will manage the data gathering process for the annual budgeting process, validating information from the system to ensure data submitted by business units is reasonable and provide accurate and timely consolidating schedules for senior management review.
    • You will manage and ensure accurate account reconciliations of all general ledger accounts are accurate and complete.
    • You will manage the integration of new acquisitions into the financial reporting processes to ensure accurate and timely consolidated reporting and disclosures.
    • You will provide appropriate reports to government officials, senior management and our parent Company.
    • You will prepare consolidated financial forecasts.
    • You will develop staff through procedure preparation/updates, cross training and appropriate job rotations.
    • You will plan and implement process improvement activities to achieve on-going efficiencies while actively pursuing continuous improvement activities to improve the department’s performance and value to the Company.
    • You will support the Corporate Controller in maintaining adequate internal controls surrounding financial reporting activities.
    • You will provide instruction, guidance and assistance to other company employees as required.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    Position Requirements:

    • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
    • Experience: 7+ years of progressive accounting and financial package management experience, within a multi-operation, manufacturing company, is required. Public company and/or public accounting experience a plus.
    • Certifications: MBA, CMA, and/or CPA preferred
    • Functional Skills: Experience working with various currencies; high detail-orientation with excellent analytical skills; comfortable working with large volumes of data and financial data for multiple business units globally; excellent prioritization, planning, time management and problem-solving skills required to meet the core functions of the role.
    • Technology Skills: Strong technical aptitude; proficient/advanced experience with Excel (pivot tables, graphs, V-Lookups); previous experience with ERP systems required; experience with AS400 or JD Edwards preferred but will train; experience with reporting software add-ins.
    • Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to work with employees at all levels of the organization and across different cultures.
    • Leadership/ Behaviors: Excellent leadership experience to manage a team working with a large volume of data where accuracy is required; strong customer-focus to meet the changing needs of the business.

    Other Important Information:    

     

    Salary:  Salary is commensurate with proven expertise. 

     

    This position is eligible for bonus & profit sharing!  And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

     

    Reports To:     VP & Corporate Controller                                                                                                                     

     

    Core Hours:  7:30 am – 5:30 pm (Flexible schedule, working approximately 9 hours within this timeframe)

     

    Typical Work Week:  M-F; some occasional Saturdays; 45 hours per week on average

     

    Direct Reports:  3 staff (2 Senior Accountants / 1 Staff Accountant)
