    Specific Responsibilities

    What You’ll Do:

     

    As the Credit Manager, you will research, review, audit, and manage the credit and cash application processes to ensure accurate and timely payments.   

     

    Your Accountabilities in the Role:

     

    • You will establish new accounts, ensuring appropriate background/credit checks are complete, to meet the credit approval process.
    • You will manage the domestic and Canadian outstanding invoices to coordinate and expedite payments that align to the credit contracts.
    • You will manage and apply payments to the specific designated accounts, ensuring accurate and timely postings.
    • You will review monthly KPI’s and create various reports to manage the area effectively and provide comprehensive information to the management team.
    • You will continuously review, audit, and create enhancements to the processes that meet or exceed benchmark standards.

    Requirements

    Position Requirements:

    • Education: BS degree Accounting, Business, or similar discipline preferred; will consider someone with a combination of accounting courses and work experience 
    • Experience: 5+ years of solid Credit management and General Accounting experience to be able to function independently in the role.       
    • Functional Skills: Strong ability in managing, planning, and prioritizing details, thoroughness, accuracy with data, and follow-up skills to ensure payments are received and posted in an accurate and timely way.
    • Technical Aptitude/PC/Other: Solid Microsoft Office; especially in Excel. Experience in Receivables software, along with Report Query background preferred.   Some ERP experience would also be a plus.     
    • Language Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a calm demeanor to approach past due accounts in a professional way.  
    • Leadership/Behaviors: Able to work independently, problem-solve and create solutions; demonstrates a strong work ethic to get things done and to handle a large amount of data on a daily basis.
    • Culture Fit: A good team player who can collaborate with others and is coachable would fit the area.  Someone who is punctual, is able to get their work done well and assist others on the team would be a great fit.  

     

    Other Important Information:     

     

    Salary:  Salary is commensurate with proven expertise.   

     

    This position is eligible for bonus & profit sharing!  And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

     

    Reports To:     VP of Credit                                                                                                                       

     

    Core Hours:   8:00 am – 5:00 pm (schedule can be flexible; will work approx. 8-9 hours within this timeframe)

     

    Typical Work Week:  M-F typically; 40-45 hours a week on average

     

    Direct Reports:   None

     

    Travel:   Limited
