    Specific Responsibilities

    As the Maintenance Technician, you will perform general to advanced maintenance to ensure a safe and high-level of operation within the facilities.

     

    Your Accountabilities in the Role:

    • You will safely perform preventative & predictive maintenance, repairs, and improvements for production equipment and facility operations, ensuring operations is consistently running smoothly.
    • You will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic equipment within the facilities including presses, injection molding machines, shears, laser, overhead cranes, electrical systems, as well as air & water lines to minimize downtime.
    • You will be responsible for following all plant safety programs as well as identifying general safety issues by auditing machine operation and completing related work orders in an efficient manner.
    • You will maintain positive relationships and interface with a variety of personnel throughout the company to provide optimal support.
    • You will lead and participate in Lean Initiatives and implement enhancements to continuously improve the areas.
    • You will manage your work orders in a high-quality and efficient way, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

    Requirements

    Position Requirements:

    • Education: A four-year apprenticeship/certification in maintenance preferred; or the equivalent with a High School Diploma/GED and some industrial maintenance experience; Journeyman’s Card highly preferred
    • Experience: 2+ years of maintenance experience in a production environment.
    • Functional Skills: Advanced understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, with a strength in electrical, PLC (RS Logic 500 & 5000), and programming. A general knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC would be a plus; Ability to work safely on electrical circuits up to 600 VAC; Forklift and overhead crane experience required; Working knowledge of safety requirements in the maintenance field is also important; Welding, plasma cutting, and torch experience preferred; Fundamental understanding of Arc Flash plant requirements.   Ability to read prints and understand schematics is also required.  The position also requires a solid problem-solver/decision maker; someone who pays close attention to detail and has the ability to plan, prioritize & utilize time efficiently.
    • Technology Skills: Solid PC skills; Experience with Excel, Word, and maintenance software
    • Leadership/Behaviors: Ability to work independently and is a safety-minded; collaborative; solid communicator

    Other Important Information:     

     

    Wage:  Wage is commensurate with proven expertise. 

     

    This position is eligible for bonus & profit sharing!  And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

     

    Reports To:     Maintenance Supervisor                                                                                                                

     

    Core Hours:   7:00am – 3:00pm

     

    Typical Work Week:  M-F; some weekends and OT required; 45 hours a week on average

     

    Direct Reports:     None; Team of 4  

     

    Travel:   Limited
