    Specific Responsibilities

    What You’ll Do:

     

    As the Software Engineer, you will develop information systems by studying operations; designing, developing, installing, and maintaining software solutions to ensure the area goals are achieved.

     

    Your Accountabilities in the Role:

    • You will manage inquiries from the clients to assist in providing information, resolving technical issues, and ensuring the system’s integrity.
    • You will evaluate the operations through analysis, problem definition, and looking at specified requirements to develop proposals for solutions that are operationally feasible and ensure effectiveness.
    • You will research, analyze and gather information from end users, industry, systems flow, data usage and other areas to plan, develop, and test software solutions that meet the customer’s needs.
    • You will document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
    • You will prepare and install solutions by designing system specifications, standards, and programming that meet the agreed outcomes.
    • You will perform system analysis and provide recommendations for changes to client policies and procedures to continuously enhance the operation.

    Requirements

    Position Requirements: 

    • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or any relative degree program preferred; would consider a combination of course work and experience in the field
    • Experience: 2+ years of Programming, Software Development or related experience.
    • Certification(s): N/A
    • Functional Skills: Ability to research, analyze and gather information and intel to develop effective software solutions focused on the goal of the customer, excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail and a strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and due dates; excellent problem-solving skills are also required.
    • Technology Aptitude/Skills: Experience and knowledge of programming, fundamental knowledge of software design & development as well as the process, documentation, debugging, testing and architecture, with experience using SQL, Microsoft Visual Studio, VB.net, and/or C#.Net.
    • Language Skills: Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills to provide effective internal and external client support and training.
    • Leadership/Behaviors: Self-motivated, self-starters who have a background of managing their work/results on their own; requires excellent customer-focus, team work and collaboration. Ability to work in fast paced, high pressure environment and meet tight deadlines is also needed for the role.

    Salary:  Salary is commensurate with proven expertise.

     

    And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

     

    Reports To:  R & D Manager

     

    Core Hours:  8:00 am – 5:00 pm (some additional time during the week to cover global time zones)

     

    Typical Work Week:  M-F; with approximately 40-43 hours a week on average

     

    Direct Reports:     None

     

    Travel:   Limited

     

    Work Conditions:  Lifting up to 20 lbs.
