    Specific Responsibilities

    What You’ll Do:

     

    As the Jr. Implementation Specialist, you will support aspects of the implementation process, client training of software installs, and configuration of software settings to ensure client goals are achieved, in a safe and effective manner.

     

    Your Accountabilities in the Role:

    • Attends client meetings, configures software settings, and assists with the onsite install and validation to ensure alignment to the client requirements and proven functionality.
    • Collaborates and assists with other project coordination needs to ensure client project scope and timeline goals are achieved.
    • Provides effective onsite or online training to end users of the software and processes to ensure the end user can utilize the full functionality of the products.
    • Assists with client support issues and troubleshooting, as needed, to ensure client’s on-going needs are met.
    • Performs support documentation updates and maintenance, as needed, to ensure effective and accurate documentation.
    • Performs testing of prototype software during release cycles to ensure applications are functional and validated.

    Requirements

    Position Requirements: 

    • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Related Field (Business, Animal Sciences, Process Engineering, Software Engineering) or equivalent; will consider a combination of coursework and experience. Can teach the Software Aspects.
    • Experience: 3+ years’ experience within a Food Processing manufacturing, manufacturing, or distribution setting with experience supporting software implementation projects preferred; prior knowledge/experience of plant processing and how related industry solutions work is required.
    • Certification(s): HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points – Food Industry Standard) Certification & Six Sigma Certified preferred but not required
    • Functional Skills: Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail and a strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and due dates; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to implement and configure effective software solutions.
    • Technology Aptitude/Skills: Solid PC, Microsoft Word/Excel, & Software Application skills (using ERP/MES systems); solid Windows, connecting computers with other devices, mobile device knowledge; high level of comfort learning new technologies and software. Microsoft SQL server knowledge would be a plus but not required.
    • Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent listening, teaching and presentation skills are needed to effectively communicate and train the customer.
    • Leadership/Behaviors: Self-motivated, self-starters who have a background of managing their work/results on their own; requires excellent customer-focus who can listen, apply solutions, and validate system needs; excellent teamwork and collaboration. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment and meet tight deadlines is also needed for the role.

    Reports To:  Technical Project Manager                                                                                                               

     

    Core Hours:  8:00 am – 5:00 pm (some additional time during the week or weekend to meet project goals)

     

    Typical Work Week:  M-F; with approximately 45-50 hours a week on average

     

    Direct Reports:  None

     

    Travel:  Limited

     

    Work Conditions:  Lifting up to 20 lbs
